Congrats to the designers for really doing the job right and producing a quality product that fills a gap that no other programmer can do. Being all software configured, there are no more DIP switches or jumpers to fiddle with and since it is completely powered and controlled via USB it should be usable for as long as I need it. Then I came across the GQ-4X4 universal programmer and despite not really wanting to throw another $100 at the problem I am glad I did so because it is everything I could wish for in an EPROM programmerl. Extremely frustrating just to program a 27xx series EPROM! All I found was a mess of broken links and outdated information. Not only would parallel converters not work on modern PCs but the last computer with a real parallel port was dying and the version of programming software that was posted online would not run properly.
